Your revenue figures are not ours to look at

Halvard sees the numbers a business is most careful with. Here is exactly how we handle them, in plain English.

Read-only, always

Every connection asks for the narrowest read-only scope the tool offers. Halvard cannot change an order, a price, a payment or a stock level.

Stored in the UK

Data is stored and processed in London data centres, encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2 or later). Backups stay in the UK.

Access you can see

Dashboards can be limited to named people. On Business, sign-in goes through your identity provider and every change to access is written to an audit log.

Yours to take away

Export any dashboard or the raw events as CSV at any time. Close the account and the data is deleted within 30 days, with a confirmation email.

Uptime and incidents

Dashboards are only useful if they are there on Monday morning.

Data and security questions

Data

What Halvard reads, how often, and what it does with it.

What counts as an event?

One thing that happened in one of your tools: an order placed, a payment captured, a ticket opened, a row added to a sheet. A shop with 4,000 orders a month usually sends around 180,000 events once payments, stock and shipping are connected. Settings shows your count to date, every day.

How fresh are the numbers?

Tools that send webhooks — shops, tills, payment processors — arrive within a minute. Tools Halvard polls, such as accounting software and spreadsheets, refresh every hour on Team and every 15 minutes on Business.

Can I bring in numbers that only live in a spreadsheet?

Yes. Share the sheet, pick a named range and the column headers become metrics. Market-stall takings, staff hours and monthly targets are the usual ones.

What happens to my data if I leave?

Export everything as CSV from settings at any time. When you close the account we delete your data within 30 days and send you a confirmation when it is done.

Security

Where your data lives and who can see it.

Where is my data stored?

In data centres in London, encrypted at rest and in transit. Backups stay in the UK. We do not sell or share customer data, and we do not use it to train anything.

Does Halvard need write access to my tools?

No. Every connection asks for read-only access, and where a tool lets us choose, we ask for the narrowest scope that still works. Halvard cannot change an order, a price or a payment.

Can I control who sees revenue?

Yes. Each dashboard can be limited to named people. On Business you can sign in with your company identity provider, and every change to access or to a metric definition is written to an audit log.
